What is the most important principle or DNA for SONY from the time of the foundation? The answer is undoubtedly the DESIGN. The film focuses on the “BOLD TYPOLOGIES”, as one of the keywords of the principle and the ideal of Sony. This lists up the designs of Sony as the reflections of the voices of Sony designers and the users, such as artists as well as the students. This film questions the general public as well as the Sony staffs what the good design is about. This is neither a documentary nor a promotion. This is only the filmed questionnaires.

ソニーがそのDNAとして創業当時から大切にしているものとは。それはまぎれもなくデザインだ。そのソニーデザインの理念であり理想を”BOLD TYPOLOGIES”というひとつのキーワードで切り取った映像。ソニーのデザイナーはもとより、アーティストや学生といったソニーユーザーの声を軸にこれに呼応するかたちでソニーのデザインを羅列する。いいデザインとは何かということを大衆に問いかけ、そしてソニーのスタッフにも問いかけた。これはドキュメンタリーでもなく、プロモーションでもない。映像化された問いかけである。
