Direction

I directed the TV commercial for POLA B.A which describes a life of a human using the flower art by Makoto Azuma, shooting a timelapse video for 10 days with total 13 cameras. Along with the message by the creative director, Morihiro Harano, that not just the blooming part of the gorgeous flowers but also the dying after the florescence, as if the flowers performing a life of a human, the video that makes the flowers looks like humans, I tried to capture the real document of the florescence and put a BGM like a soundtrack. It was a challenge for me to express what beauty is in 30 seconds.

POLA B.AのTVCMを東信さんのフラワーアートによって人の人生観を表現しました。計13台のカメラで10日間のタイムラプス撮影を敢行。“華々しい開花だけでなく、役目を終えて朽ちていくところも含めて、花が人生を演じているような、まるで人間に見えてくるような絵を撮って欲しい”というCreative Directorの原野氏の掲げたテーマを花の開花と枯れて行く様のありのままを撮影し、映画音楽でまとめました。美しさとは何か、という大きなテーマに30秒の映像で挑みました。
